A few posts ago, I wrote about how to not overdo the leopard print trend and how to tiptoe your way into it. Well, today I’m back at it with the leopard print, but this time I’m overdoing it big time. Over the last few weeks I seem to have accumulated more and more leopard print items and I don’t know how it’s happened. It’s like I’m just drawn towards them now, and I’m praying the trend doesn’t die down anytime soon. Aaaanyway, here a few of my favourite leopard print pieces I’ve acquired recently.

1. This shirt from New Look

I didn’t think I’d ever wear a leopard print shirt to work because I was worried that I’d feel too extra and like I was trying too hard in an office where people mainly wear jeans and t-shirts. However when I saw this shirt in the New Look sale AND it was the last one in my size, I knew I had to get it and just suck it up. I do feel extra when I wear it, but like a good extra… like hey I’m fashionable, look at me.

I really love the print on this one, it’s not too loud but it’s enough to be noticed, and I’ve received so many compliments on it since wearing it to work for the first time. It’s long sleeved too which is ideal for cold offices. I think New Look do a similar shirt but in snake print, but I don’t know if I’m brave enough for that quite yet.

2. This bag, also from New Look

I first saw this bag when I was out shopping with Lauren but I didn’t let myself buy it because I had literally just bought another handbag a few weeks before. One thing to note: I’m a handbag fiend – they’re the one thing I will buy hundreds of and still want more. When I got home that day, I literally couldn’t stop thinking about this bag. I needed it. So after doing overtime at work on a Sunday morning, I decided to reward myself by finally going back to get this bag.

It’s the perfect size to hold everything I need on a daily basis, and it’s even got a separate pocket at the front so I can put my phone in it and not have to scramble through everything else in my bag trying to find it. My purse is actually the same style of leopard print as well so they match perfectly, which makes me seem like I’ve got my life together more than I actually do.

3. These jeans from Stradivarius

I had been swaying back and forth on the idea of leopard print jeans for a while but I was hesitant to actually buy a pair because I didn’t think I’d wear them and I was worried they’d be too loud and unflattering. My curiosity got the better of me and I ended up going onto Asos to have a browse. Enter these jeans. These are now the comfiest pair of jeans I own, well done Stradivarius.

I love that, again, they’re not too loud and in your face but more of a subtle print.  I was a bit self conscious wearing them to work for the first time but I really like them and that’s all that matters tbh. They’re perfect for the transitional weather we’re currently having because they can be paired with a simple white shirt or with a cosy jumper as seen below.

4. This jacket from Primark

The first time I saw this jacket was on Maria’s Instagram page and I was immediately obsessed with it, so off I went down to Primark to buy my own. Imagine the disappointment when they didn’t have my size left in the store. I was GUTTED. As I let my leopard jacket dreams die, Cam’s mum and sister were visiting Paris and, lo and behold, found the jacket in Primark over there. SAVIOURS.

It’s everything I dreamed it would be. Despite the arms being ridiculously long for a size 8, or maybe my arms are just ridiculously short, it’s perfect. I wish I’d bought the matching skirt but instead I’ve made do with just a plain black denim skirt and a white t-shirt. The jacket is great for making an otherwise plain outfit more exciting, and it’s actually pretty warm too. It doesn’t have pockets though so as you can see I didn’t really know what to do with my hands.

That’s all folks! Let me know what your favourite piece is and if you’ve jumped on the leopard print bandwagon as much as I have.
